Ballet 1

In Ballet 1, students ages 7 to 10 will work at the barre, center and across the floor. We follow the Bolshoi Ballet curriculum. Classes are 60 minutes.

Ballet 2

Students ages 9 to 12 are introduced to longer combinations and pre-pointe work. These dancers are preparing their ankles for pointe. Classes are 75 minutes and students are strongly encouraged to take two classes per week.

Ballet 3

All students, ages 12 to 15, are required to take two technique classes per week to begin pointe. Classes are two hours each and include 30 minutes of pre-pointe/pointe. Two-hour classes provide the opportunity for students to master the fundamentals as well as to begin developing their technical ability and artistry.

Ballet 3/4/5

Ballet 4/5

Dancers 14 to 18 years old will enjoy this two-hour class, which consists of 90 minutes of technique and 30 minutes of pointe and/or variations. Dancers at this level will be challenged to incorporate refined artistry and musicality into more complicated combinations. Ballet 4 and 5 students must take at least two classes per week.

Age ranges are approximate. Class placement is by ability rather than age, and placement decisions are made by the studio director.
